As Executive chef of the award-winning Old Hagåtña Grill, Kell Killian had a first taste of how community brings the best out of everyone. Joining a team of Chimorans and Mauians in Hagtña, Guam, Kell Killian shared the fantastic cooking, culture, and exquisite experience of the Grill. Now closed, the Old Hagåtña Grill remains a treasured landmark where food, community, and innovation came together and changed lives.

After attending L'Academie de Cuisine for Pastry Arts, Killian continued his training at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City.  Learning and working with the best left Kell Killian with a fundamental love of stunning hospitality that has carried through in every project he has touched. The Ritz Carlton puts customer experience first. Naturally, going above and beyond for clients is expected. This expectation has now become a deep-rooted part of Killian's work ethic and innate to everything he does.

In Twenty-Nine Palms, CA, Kell Killian stepped into the executive chef role for the beating heart of any military base, the Officer's Club. The following year Killian would step into the even larger role of managing all twenty-six kitchens across the desert base. Under Killian's leadership, the Officer's Club went from frozen to fresh food. An immense quality in food followed. Doing the most he could to bring his outside expertise to kitchens lacking passion, Kell Killian left his mark on the culinary world of the largest Marine Corps Base.

Joining the effort to help transform the Bainbridge Island Resource Network from a two-room operation in Rolling Bay to the flourishing large community center it is today, Kell Killian headed up the Kitchen Studio. As a volunteer, Killian worked tirelessly to organize classes, test kitchens, secure equipment, and create a welcoming space for all. The countless hours of community volunteering culminated in a Kitchen Studio that not only inspires but brings people together. Helping to build and strengthen the community surrounding him has led to lifelong connections, partnerships, and amazing experiences.

Late in 2018, Kell Killian purchased Pegasus Coffee House, a local treasure in need of help to transform it back into a community hub. Killian brought back live music, showcased local artists, and revamped the food experience, introducing southern charm to the fundamentally Pacific Northwest landmark. With a lifelong love of coffee, Killian was suddenly at an epicenter. Under his ownership, Pegasus became a place people ate chicken & waffles, drank killer lattes, and enjoyed the sounds of local music. After remaining open through the pandemic, Killian made the tough call to sell Pegasus to the new owner of the Pegasus Coffee Roastery, helping to reunite the business for the first time in years.
